Severin Veyr artwork

Patience has a face. Pale, deliberate, and watching from above.

IDENTITY Severin Veyr is the master vampire shown in the supplied character reference: lean and pale, with red eyes, long black hair, elongated claws, and a shredded cloak lined in crimson. His shape is precise where the other monsters are overwhelming. He looks as though he has already decided how the encounter ends. PROPOSED BIOGRAPHY Severin’s most dangerous quality may be his restraint. He can wait while someone else mistakes silence for safety. In the proposed storyline, conflicting records place the same figure at the edges of events separated by years. Nobody can tell whether the records are wrong or time simply means something different to him. He does not need a throne to command a scene. A high ledge, a narrow window, or the last intact arch of a ruined building is enough. Distance becomes part of his personality: always close enough to be felt, rarely close enough to understand. STORY THREAD: THE WATCHER AT THE WINDOW A survivor notices the same silhouette above three different escape routes. Each time, it is still. Each time, the route below is worse than the last. The question becomes whether Severin is following the survivor—or quietly choosing where they will go. DESIGN NOTE This proposed characterization does not lock his age, lineage, powers, or final story role. Those remain the creator’s decisions.
